The Starr Family House State Historic Site is seven buildings (the oldest predating Civil War) built by the Starr Family on 3.2 beautifully landscaped acres near downtown Marshall, Texas. The project was completed in two phases. Phase One was a master plan including the restoration and stabilization of all structures, accessibility improvements, cost estimates, and prioritization. Phase Two was development and construction documents for restoration of Maplecroft (the principal structure, open to the public as a museum), including a new HVAC system accessibility improvements at Maplecroft and Blake House (a rentable event facility), an addition to the garage including a workshop and accessible restrooms, and site accessibility improvements.
