ICA&CA John Staub Award

The Byrne-Reed House restoration has won another award, the John Staub award, given by the Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America

(ICA&CA) Texas Chapter. The award honors “projects that demonstrate excellence and sensitivity to classical and vernacular traditions and have, in turn, contributed to the legacy of John Staub in Texas.” Our trip to Houston for the award ceremony included lunch at the Staub-designed Bayou Club and a tour of Ima Hoggs’s former home and gardens, Bayou Bend, also designed by Staub.
